Review: Fake Out, Eden Finley

I can’t say this story is original, but it works damn good! At 18 Maddox came out as gay to his whole town. The problem is, he is NOT gay he only wanted to break up with his girlfriend and being gay was a convenient excuse. Five years later he is invited to his ex’s wedding and needs a fake boyfriend. His best friend’s brother, Damon, is willing to help him. And that is when this epic love story starts.

What I liked was the immediate connection between Maddox and Damon and also, weirdly, their hesitation to create a relationship. This hesitation made possible to explore the different hardships they had to go through in their past life. It gives us the opportunity to explore some family drama, bullshit ex-partners, homophobic best friend, but also great friendship dynamic and loving families. All of this surrounded by the athletic world makes this an epic love story, that I would recommend to any romance fan without hesitation!
